Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring a SC or compact RN license and 2 years of ER experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with 97 staffed beds
- General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule of 4x12 hours, 7p-7a, with manager open to considering 3x12 schedules
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units or sister facilities
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- TNCC certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Previous charge experience required
- Driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care and triage services to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Must complete all assigned facility training modules prior to start date, typically accessible the Wednesday before start
- Attendance at staff meetings is required
- Royal blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted on a case-by-case basis, though non-local candidates are prioritized
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed
