Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and a Michigan RN license.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department supporting a full spectrum of surgical services
- Perform general elective surgeries as well as critical or life-saving procedures
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend call rotation required, with days call 7a-7p Saturday and Sunday and night call 7p-7a Friday through Sunday
- On-call requirement includes one weeknight (Monday-Thursday) 7p-11p and one rotating weekend per month
- Holiday coverage assigned unless contracted off
Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN Operating Room experience required
- Experience in Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, or OB surgery preferred
- Skills checklist completed within the past year required
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Strict attendance policy in place: absence or tardiness of more than 20 minutes on 3 occasions may result in immediate termination, with exceptions considered for documented communicable disease or hospitalization
- Former full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
