Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a MS/Tele Float position requiring at least 1 year of experience and travel nursing experience, with a TN or compact RN license required.
Details
- Med/Surg/Telemetry float position requiring flexibility to float to MS/Tele, SD/PCU, or ICU units depending on skills and facility need
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
- Uses Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication system
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; ACLS required to float to SD/ICU
- NIHSS certification can be obtained after offer
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- Must pass EKG testing before start date
- Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of start date
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and potentially SD/PCU or ICU units based on competency and facility needs
- Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, cardiac drip management, and telemetry monitoring
- Floating conducted in accordance with facility policy and Joint Commission standards, including appropriate orientation to new units
- Holiday RTO requests will not be accommodated for a designated list of holidays and surrounding dates; RTO for holidays may be addressed with the manager after arrival onsite
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate compared to traveler rate
- Candidates who were previous permanent staff at this specific campus cannot return within 24 months but may return to another campus within the health system after 12 months
- First-time travelers are not specified as accepted for this position due to travel experience requirement
