Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• Work on a 30-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit specializing in telemetry patients
• Unit handles fast turnaround surgery cases including urology, bariatrics, and orthopedic overflow
• Serves Bariatric Center of Excellence patients
• Patient population is mostly transferred from the ED and PACU
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• EPIC experience required
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members performing patient care activities
• Coordinate discharge planning with Case Management and other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care team members
