Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details
- Work on a 30-bed medical surgical/telemetry unit specializing in telemetry patients
- Unit handles fast turnaround surgery cases including urology, bariatrics, and orthopedic overflow
- Serves Bariatric Center of Excellence patients
- Patient population is mostly transferred from the ED and PACU
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- 36 hours per week, 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
- NIHSS certification required within 3 months of hire
- Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- EPIC experience required
- No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and nursing rounds
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
- Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
- Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team members performing patient care activities
- Coordinate discharge planning with Case Management and other team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care team members
