Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for an Oncology unit position requiring day/night rotations and recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience.
Details
- : Hematology/Oncology/Gyn Oncology and Med-Surg unit, 24-bed unit including 9 beds dedicated to Hematology and Cellular Therapy, Patient population includes lymphoma, leukemia, and ovarian cancer diagnoses, Administers chemotherapy and manages treatment side effects, Cares for patients receiving radiation therapy and radioisotopes, 36 hours per week with day/night rotations only
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
- BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with chest tubes and drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone preferred
- Experience with lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients preferred
- Experience with trachs, laryngectomies, telemetry, and complex wound care preferred
- Experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology and med-surg patients, including chemotherapy administration and side effect management
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
