Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 3+ years of current Med/Surg experience and prior travel experience.

Details

• Hospital and clinic setting on a 19-bed Med/Surg unit
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5, with possible 1:7 on nights
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Dress code allows any color scrubs

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• At least 6 months of previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Tele/Progressive Care experience preferred
• Must have a completed Skills Checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Must have own vehicle

Additional Information

• Formulate and revise individualized patient care plans based on patient response to treatment
• Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed
• Utilize assessment data to identify patient care needs, including education and discharge planning
• Recognize and report abnormal assessment findings, incorporating them into the plan of care
• Accurately document all patient care activities including wound assessments, teaching, and medication administration
• Delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted for this assignment
• Requested time off must be submitted and verified prior to interview, as post-offer requests will not be approved
• Block scheduling will not be considered for this assignment
