Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of all-around OR experience and a WV or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in a Level II Trauma Center
• Operating Room unit with 11 total rooms, including 8 OR suites and 3 Endo suites
• Handles approximately 65 cases per day across all rooms, with Endo suites accounting for about 25 of those cases
• Case types include Vascular, General, Ortho, Neuro, Eyes, and ENT surgeries (excluding open hearts)
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Utilizes Baxter pumps and robotic equipment including Phillips, Dynomap, and DaVinci robots
• 12-hour night shifts scheduled Wednesday through Friday
• Cross-training to Endo required
• Call rotation includes one weeknight call every 4 weeks (7p-7a) and one weekend call shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) up to 24 hours per 3-month contract

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in all areas of the OR required
• DaVinci Robot experience strongly preferred
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates will not be considered for this position
• Travelers who previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have completed a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative total of one year working within the WVU system before requiring a 2-year break
• All candidates will interview directly with the hiring manager
• No prescreen interview required for this OR position
• Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week contract
