Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a CA RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Shift options of 36 or 48 hours per week
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of California required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS or ALS, NRP or NALS
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty required
• Recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months required
• EPIC experience must be documented in employment history
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate patient outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe and compassionate care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations are a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, and local rates match travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Traveler may only be submitted to one hospital within the health system at a time
