Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level IV/Surgical NICU RN for a weekend block schedule position requiring PALS certification and GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital setting
• Level IV/surgical NICU patient population
• Common diagnoses include CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension
• Care for pre-op, peri-op, and post-op patients
• Day shift schedule with weekend block requirement (Sat/Sun plus one weekday shift)
• 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Floating to other units required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current PALS certification required
• NRP certification preferred
• Level IV/surgical NICU experience required
• Flu vaccine required with no medical or religious exceptions accepted
• Must pass nicotine and drug screening with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients including pre/peri/post-operative cases
• Must work at least one holiday if it falls during the contract period
• Facility maintains a nicotine-free environment
