Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and ACLS/PALS certification, with potential floating to ICU.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Floating to ICU may be required based on department needs

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the State of California
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• At least 1 year of RN experience within the last 24 months and acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT/ED Tech experience with a minimum of 2 years in good standing
• ER and ICU experience preferred
• MICN certification desired to be completed within one year of hire
• MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN certifications encouraged and recommended
• Basic computer skills required
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
• No prior license disciplinary actions will be considered

• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions
• Local pay rates are the same as travel rates
• Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking on inclines/declines, standing, and repetitive hand motions required
• Occasional patient handling required, including pulling, lifting, transferring, or pushing patients
• Must comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available where applicable
