Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for an outpatient OBGYN clinic, requiring ARDMS-OB certification and at least 1 year of ultrasound tech experience.
Details
- Outpatient OBGYN clinic setting with 3 ultrasound rooms
- Approximately 13 patients per day per ultrasound tech
- Low-risk OB/GYN patient population
- Procedures include new pregnancy/dating scans, routine 20-week anatomy scans, obesity in pregnancy scans, and GYN scans
- Uses GE ultrasound machines and Trophon disinfection system
- EMR: Epic and ASOBGYN
- Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 0800-1700
- No on-call, call back, weekend rotation, or holiday requirements
- May float to a nearby OBGYN location approximately 20 minutes away, as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
- ARDMS-OB certification required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Ability to obtain nuchal translucency measurements on 1st trimester scans
- Skilled in imaging 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, SVC-IVC, and 3 vessel view (3VV)
- Ability to work independently
- Epic EMR experience
Additional Information
- Work alongside departmental leadership, nurses, peer sonographers, receptionist, MA, and provider/NP support
- No on-site radiologist; MFM doctors are on-site at all clinics except Thursday mornings when APPs see mostly follow-up cases
- One week of orientation, dependent on experience and skillset
- Grey scrub color required
- Free parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Returning travelers must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
- RTO subject to supervisor approval
