Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift hospital position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Options for 4x12s, 3x12s, or 2x12s shift schedules available
• Assignment length of 20 weeks, with 13-week assignments also considered
• Provides winter coverage for the unit

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, with willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel assignment
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Charge RN references accepted for reference requirement
• Required certifications must be active and in hand, pending certifications not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required
• Nicotine testing exemption currently applies to nurses
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
