Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Options for 4x12s, 3x12s, or 2x12s schedules available
• 20-week assignment for winter coverage, with 13-week options also accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) required and in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start
• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required prior to travel
• One recent reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty (charge RN references accepted)
• Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless client-approved
