Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring 2-5 years of PCICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• 8-12 bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU unit
• Patient population includes complex congenital cardiac disease, heart failure, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, and post-op congenital cardiac patients
• Cares for patients with Berlin Hearts and Heartmate III devices
• Responsible for titrating drips
• Uses RT equipment including vents, trachs, Cervos, LTVs, high frequency, and occasional home vent
• Works 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)
• 36 hours per week
• Self-scheduling available
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• BLS and PALS certifications required
• 2-5 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required
• Experience with invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and inotropes required
• Experience managing post-op complex congenital cardiac patients preferred
• Experience with ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, and Heartmate III preferred
• Active VA or compact RN license required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex congenital cardiac conditions
• 2-3 days of unit orientation provided
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs, with colorful tops permitted
