Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position in Oakland, requiring at least 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience.
Details
- Home health setting serving geriatric patients, including wound care cases
- 16-week assignment with day shift schedule (5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM)
- No weekend shifts required
- On-call is discretionary and not required
- Minimum of 23-24 visits per week required to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
- May be asked to travel to surrounding counties in addition to primary territory
- Uses Kinnser/Wellsky charting system, all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (not to or from home)
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- State license required and must be in hand at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
- No pending licenses accepted
- No license hits accepted
- Current driver's license required
- Must have reliable transportation and insurance
- OASIS experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Less experienced clinicians must commit to a 6-month contract length (non-negotiable)

- Open to first-time travelers
- Free residential parking available
- Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
- COVID vaccination required with religious declination allowed; flu vaccination may be declined with declination form
- All required compliance documents must be submitted before start date, as compliance processing may take 2-3 weeks
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off requests accepted after offer
- Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius
- Ideal candidates are patient-care focused, punctual, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with charting
