Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• Acute care setting in a Level III/IV Trauma Center Emergency Department
• 30 private ER rooms including a six-room EDOU observation unit
• 6 fast track beds staffed with a PA for minor non-urgent issues
• 1 seclusion room plus 5 additional monitored rooms
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Average of 100 patients seen per day
• Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases
• Support staff includes 5 techs during peak hours
• Uses Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• Uses Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts
• 36-hour per week guarantee

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIHSS, and TNCC
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities including trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases
• Scrubs may be any color except all black
• Scrubs are not provided
