Description
American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift position requiring at least 3 years of ICU experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details
- Work in the Medical ICU unit of an acute care hospital
- Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience, with experience within the last 3 months in the specialty
- BSN preferred
- Prior acute care facility experience preferred
- Cerner and Epic EMR experience noted in employment history if applicable
- No prior disciplinary action on nursing license
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient or group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and caring treatment
- Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Provide health information and education to patients, families, and the treatment team
- Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
- Facility requires all associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, subject to medical and religious exemptions
- Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate as traveling candidates with no radius restriction
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
