Description

American Traveler is hiring a Medical ICU RN for a night shift position requiring at least 3 years of ICU experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
• Current BLS certification from an approved vendor
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience, with experience within the last 3 months in the specialty
• BSN preferred
• Prior acute care facility experience preferred
• Cerner and Epic EMR experience noted in employment history if applicable
• No prior disciplinary action on nursing license

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient or group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and caring treatment
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Provide health information and education to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Facility requires all associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment, subject to medical and religious exemptions
• Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate as traveling candidates with no radius restriction
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
