Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring prior travel and Med/Surg experience along with SC or compact licensure.

Details

• Short term acute care hospital setting with 97 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Tele unit
• Patient ratios of 1:6-1:7
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister facilities
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact license required in hand prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Med/Surg experience required
• Telemetry experience, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Royal Blue scrub color required
• Must complete all assigned training modules prior to start date, with access typically provided the Wednesday before start
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• Candidates should reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility for priority consideration, though local candidates will be considered
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a travel employee
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• During hurricane season (June through November, peaking in August and September), employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• No parking cost for staff
