Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical-Telemetry unit position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and comfort with Bi-Pap and high flow O2.
Details
- Work on 4 East, a 21-bed general medical observation unit
- Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, infections, and UTI cases requiring telemetry monitoring
- Uses Bi-Pap and high flow O2 equipment
- 12-hour day shift schedule with 36 or 48-hour contract options
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Telemetry specialty required
- Comfortable managing patients on Bi-Pap and high flow O2
Additional Information
- Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients with respiratory and infectious conditions
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility with a verifiable permanent address
- Local candidates will not be considered

The paperwork was sometimes byzantine. They use a version of Epic that is customized to the facility. Someone is always looking over your shoulder and evaluating your fitness for the job. You have to rock that charting!
