Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Sonographer with 2+ years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience and current RVT or RVS certification.
Details
- Outpatient and inpatient vascular clinic serving patients of all ages
- Average daily volume of 8-12 RVT/RVS studies
- Common diagnoses include PVD, CAD, heart failure, CVA, venous insufficiency, renal/celiac/SMA stenosis, renal transplant, and thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS)
- Performs carotid, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous studies, DVT/reflux, vein mapping, renal, mesenteric, AAA, endograft, aorta, PVR/segmental pressures, hemodialysis grafts, iliac vein studies, and arterial bypass graft evaluations
- Uses Philips Epic Elite ultrasound system and Parks PVR/segmental pressure machines
- Documents in EPIC EMR and VascuPro reporting system
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 0800-1700, totaling 32 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required for vascular US coverage from 0800-1700
- May float to High Point Outpatient lab location if needed
- No on-call or call-back requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated vascular ultrasound experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARDMS RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or CCI RVS (Registered Vascular Sonographer) certification required
- License required if applicable
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must be able to perform a full range of vascular ultrasound studies including carotid, extremity arterial/venous, renal, mesenteric, aortic, and bypass graft evaluations
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- No clinical interview required
- 3-day departmental orientation provided
- Black scrubs required
- Free parking available on-site

- Support provided by department leadership and peer staff
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a previous permanent position
