Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Obstetrics Acute unit position requiring CA RN licensure, EPIC experience, and specialty certifications including NRP, STABLE, and Fetal Heart Monitoring.

Details

• Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a full-service community and regional teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on 36 or 48-hour weekly commitments
• EPIC experience required
• Floating to Bakersfield required as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience in the specialty within the last 3 months
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS), S.T.A.B.L.E, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• No prior hits on license will be considered

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and caring patient environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide health education and information to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Local candidates accepted with local rates matching travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
