Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit position requiring a FL or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years' rehabilitation nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
  • Rehab Nursing IRF unit spanning floors 1-2
  • Patient population includes stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury cases
  • Patient ratio of 1:8
  • Uses Cerner EHR
  • Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (FL or Compact)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Minimum of 2 years' rehabilitation nursing experience
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Basic computer knowledge required

Additional Information

  • Provide individualized rehabilitative nursing care to patients recovering from severe injury or illness
  • Work as part of a collaborative, team-oriented nursing staff
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
