Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring 1+ years of experience and current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting supporting Radiology/Cardiology X-Ray services
• Performs general X-ray procedures across abdomen, chest, spine, upper and lower extremities, and head/facial imaging
• Supports fluoroscopy studies including barium swallow, contrast enema, ERCP, and upper GI series
• Performs mobile and surgical imaging including C-arm procedures, portable chest, and portable abdomen
• Works across multiple settings including Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, PICU, Operating Room, and inpatient/outpatient units
• Cares for adult and pediatric patient populations
• Uses Epic EMR and PACS, with equipment from GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba
• 4x10-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• On-call coverage is voluntary and not required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Radiology X-Ray
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
• Washington state license required in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Experience running C-arms in surgery required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety practices

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
• Former Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
