Description
American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and BLS/NBCOT certification.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital inpatient unit
- Inpatient orthopedic patient population, including day-of-surgery cases
- ICU experience is helpful but not required
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 40 hours weekly, with shifts scheduled 7 days a week including weekends
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- NBCOT certification required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- No new graduates considered
- Compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient orthopedic patients, including evaluations on day of surgery
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates within a 50 mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff of other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) may be eligible for this travel contract after a 3-month separation period
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met
