Description

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and BLS/NBCOT certification.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital inpatient unit
• Inpatient orthopedic patient population, including day-of-surgery cases
• ICU experience is helpful but not required
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 40 hours weekly, with shifts scheduled 7 days a week including weekends
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• NBCOT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• No new graduates considered
• Compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide occupational therapy services to inpatient orthopedic patients, including evaluations on day of surgery
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates within a 50 mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff of other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) may be eligible for this travel contract after a 3-month separation period
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met
