Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 3+ years of acute hospital experience and ARDMS certifications in AB, OB, and RVT.
Details
- 13-week assignment in a diagnostic imaging department
- Variable shift schedule with 40-hour work weeks
- Call coverage required when appropriate
- May float to other units or departments as needed
- Performs general, abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound procedures
- Uses Canon i700 ultrasound equipment
- Charts in Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a full-time sonographer in an acute hospital setting
- At least one prior travel contract or equivalent experience preferred
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular Technology (RVT) required
- State license required if applicable, obtainable upon acceptance
- Competency in abdominal imaging including aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal structures
- Competency in GYN imaging including breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, and pelvis for adult, pediatric, and post-menopausal patients
- Competency in OB imaging across all trimesters including biophysical profiles, gestational age, and abnormality assessment
- Competency in vascular studies including carotid duplex and upper/lower extremity venous and arterial duplex
- Experience with neonatal, superficial structure, and interventional procedures such as aspirations and biopsies
Additional Information
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
- Candidates should plan to arrive by the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment
- No RTO will be granted during the first 13 weeks of the contract
- Dress code includes personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire
- First-time travelers may be considered with sufficient acute care experience
