Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring an active HI RN license and pediatric experience with PALS certification.

Details

• 9-bed ICU setting within a hospital
• Adult ICU population with occasional stable pediatric patients; unstable pediatric patients are transferred to a higher level of care
• Patient ratio of 2:1, unless 1:1 care is indicated
• Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 3-4 patients per nurse
• 12-hour day or night shift schedule
• 72 hours worked every two weeks
• Minimum of three nurses staffed on each shift
• May float to other departments to assist, but will not take a full patient team while floating

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current PALS certification required
• Pediatric experience required

Additional Information

• Deliver critical care nursing services to adult ICU patients, with occasional stable pediatric cases
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned as part of shift responsibilities
