Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a pediatric respiratory care position at a children's hospital, requiring 1+ years of experience and eligibility for Oklahoma RCP licensure.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory care experience required
• 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Previous experience at a children's only hospital preferred
• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, if applicable
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS certification (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
• Certifications must be issued by AHA only

Additional Information

• Administers therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
• Documents treatment information and patient responses in the computerized medical record
• Acts as a resource person to medical staff
• Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients
• Provides age-appropriate care to patients
• Ensures respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Maintains necessary respiratory therapy records
• Serves as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• This facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance clearance
• Returning workers may extend a contract one time for a total of 26 weeks, and must have a 6-month separation before applying for another contract
