Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) for a night shift pediatric position, requiring RRT licensure and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Care department serving pediatric patients across PICU/NICU areas
• Provides therapeutic treatments, diagnostic testing, and monitoring for patients of all appropriate age levels
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 26-week contract length
• Participates as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care, with RRT credential required within 12 months of hire
• Current BLS (AHA) required upon hire
• ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• 2 years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred
• Pediatric experience required, with PICU/NICU experience preferred
• Previous experience in a children's only hospital preferred

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff and document patient response in the computerized medical record
• Act as a resource person to medical staff on respiratory care matters
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring
• Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
• Provide age-appropriate care to all patients served by the department
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning workers may extend a contract only once for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts once booked
