Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a high-volume, high-risk delivery service requiring TX or compact RN license and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.

Details

• Level IV Maternal Designation facility with 26 LDR suites, including low intervention rooms
• Unit includes 6 C-section suites, 14 triage rooms, 60 Mother-Baby couplet rooms, and 16 monitored ante-partum beds
• Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
• High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing over 500 deliveries per month
• 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
• Perinatal Transport Program in place
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required
• BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• NRP certification from AAP
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit supporting both academic and private OB practices
• Collaborate with 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams
• Support perinatal transport services as needed
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted but may receive a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• Candidates must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
• First-time travelers may be considered
