Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of experience and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work on a Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Floating within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required
• Cerner experience preferred

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only)
• Charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring required
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) required
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required
• Two supervisor references preferred
• SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients, including monitoring for dysrhythmias and coordinating with rapid response teams
• Manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and orthopedic conditions
• Support post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI, and post-cardiac surgery care
• Assist with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
• Approximately 1 hour of pre-start training modules required before entering the facility
