Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Respiratory therapy department position at a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
- Facility has 733 total staffed beds
- Must be comfortable working with adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including floating between like units and sister campuses
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- State or compact RT licensure required if applicable, pending license not accepted
- Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patient populations
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- At least 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- No license or background hits within the past year will be approved
Additional Information
- Solid black or black and white scrubs required
- RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days with only 1 holiday approved during the assignment
- Call-off policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment before guaranteed hours are affected; missed shifts will require a makeup shift as deemed necessary by the department
- Facility allows one contract extension for day shift and up to two extensions for night shift
- Candidates must wait 6 months after reaching extension limits before reapplying as a traveler
- Previous employees must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
- Pre-start completion of non-billable training modules (4-10 hours) required
