Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of specialty experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week contract.

Details

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting
• Adult patient population with a 1:7 patient ratio
• Procedures include AICD placement, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, temporary pacemaker placement, and thrombectomy
• Uses Epic for computerized charting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call requirements of 12 days per month, including 2 weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No floating to other locations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab specialty required
• ARRT certification required (RCIS certification alone not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCI RCIS preferred
• Compact or LA license required in hand at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, equipment setup, dysrhythmia interpretation, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
• Experience troubleshooting and documenting equipment malfunctions preferred
• Familiarity with isolation precautions, PPE use, and Rapid Response/Code team protocols preferred
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• Must be located more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• 2 Manager/Supervisor references required to obtain clearance to start contract (Charge RNs not accepted)
• RTO must be disclosed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
• Position is located in an area commonly impacted by hurricanes; candidates may be assigned to emergency or relief teams during storm events
