Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit position requiring 2 years of experience and an active MI RN license.
Details
- Work in a 22-bed Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- 4x12 Day shift schedule (0700-1930)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Required to work every other holiday
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
- Uses Cerner PowerChart for charting
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CPI preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to stepdown/intermediate care patients including cardiac, neuro, and respiratory populations
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days; if RTO falls during a holiday period, must be willing to work at least one of the three holidays
- Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates will not be considered
