Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based cardiology and general nuclear medicine role requiring ARRT(N) or CNMT certification.
Details
- Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department focused on cardiology and general nuclear medicine, no PET
- Two-tech model ensures staff never work alone
- Adult and pediatric patient populations
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 or possibly 4x10 hours, with 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM start times
- Primary work location with possible float requirement to a nearby campus
- Call requirements include 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month, with more availability upon request
- GE scanner equipment
- Epic charting system preferred
- Procedures include bone scans, 3-phase studies, whole body imaging, SPECT, myocardial perfusion, sestamibi parathyroid scans, renal flow/perfusion, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, and lung ventilation/perfusion studies
Requirements
- ARRT(N) or CNMT certification required
- 1 year of experience required; 3+ years highly preferred
- MA state license required to start (can be pending at time of submission); license required if applicable
- DOT certification in Radioactive Waste highly preferred
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, IV starts, and radioactive materials handling/storage/disposal
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in bone scans, 3-phase studies, and whole body imaging required
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac, renal, gastric, and pulmonary studies
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
