Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN for a weekend-focused night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of recent NICU experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Level IV Neonatal ICU (NICU) setting within a hospital
- Weekend-only position requiring every Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday night shift
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Holiday coverage required
- Float required to other departments within the facility and to a sister NICU, as well as to sister campuses within a 12-mile radius
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Recent travel nursing experience required
- BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
- NRP certification preferred
- BSN preferred but not required
- Skills in tracheostomy care/management and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to Level IV NICU patients, including respiratory and ventilator management support
- Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests for cotinine/nicotine use
- Candidates must complete a medication pass/fail test, with a review and opportunity to retake if needed; failure of the second attempt will result in cancellation
- Minimal to no RTO accommodated for this assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply if their resume reflects the required skill set
- Candidates must be prepared to sign offers and complete compliance steps (labs, license verification) within tight timeframes to secure the position
