Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN for a weekend-focused night shift contract requiring at least 2 years of recent NICU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Level IV Neonatal ICU (NICU) setting within a hospital
• Weekend-only position requiring every Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday night shift
• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Holiday coverage required
• Float required to other departments within the facility and to a sister NICU, as well as to sister campuses within a 12-mile radius
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• BSN preferred but not required
• Skills in tracheostomy care/management and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to Level IV NICU patients, including respiratory and ventilator management support
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests for cotinine/nicotine use
• Candidates must complete a medication pass/fail test, with a review and opportunity to retake if needed; failure of the second attempt will result in cancellation
• Minimal to no RTO accommodated for this assignment
