Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) night shift position requiring 2+ years of CVPCU/cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery experience.

Details

• Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU) within a hospital setting
• 23-bed unit caring for CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3 and 1:4
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule, 3x12's, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to other stepdown/PCUs

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in CVPCU, cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patient care
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• EKG testing required as part of consideration for this position

Additional Information

• Provide progressive/stepdown level care to cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients
• Navy scrub color required
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
