Description
American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring TX or compact RN licensure and fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit
- 13-week travel assignment
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 4 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Full-time position
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current NRP certification required
- Current AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) certification required
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
- Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with completion of organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations
- Completion of annual competency verification requirements required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must be separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
