Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring NRP certification and EPIC experience.
Details
- Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a hospital setting
- Provide labor and delivery care including taking over recoveries and catching babies during cesarean sections
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36-48 hours per week
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
- Current NRP certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS) required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- No prior negative licensure actions permitted
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
- Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care needs
- Develop and implement care plans while evaluating progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, humane, and healing care
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
- Delegate duties appropriately among healthcare team members
- Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction, and local rates match travel rates
