Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Labor & Delivery/Obstetrics position requiring EPIC experience and NRP certification.

Details

  • Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a hospital setting
  • Night Shift schedule from 1900-0730, working 36-48 hours per week
  • Must be able to take over a recovery in Labor and Delivery and catch a baby during a cesarean section
  • EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
  • Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment
  • Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
  • Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe healing environment
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane, and caring treatment
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, families, and team members
  • Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically declined
  • Candidates with any prior adverse action on their license will not be considered
  • No radius rule applies, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
  • Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
