Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown position requiring Level I Trauma and prior travel experience.

Details

• Stepdown unit within a large, short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Med Surg overflow with neuro patient population
• Team nursing ratio of 1:12
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Schedule may consist of 36 or 48 hours and may change during interview process
• On-call and weekend work required as needed
• May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (pending licensure not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required, 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• ADN accepted for this position
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care within a Level I Trauma Center environment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays
• If only 2 of these holidays fall during the assignment, must be willing to work at least 1
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration, as RTO submitted after an offer will not be honored
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered
