Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 18 months of specialty experience.

Details

• Work on a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Ohio (OH) or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required
• Current certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
• ACLS certification preferred
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applying specialty from within the past 12 months required
• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Tele unit
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with a passing score required within 2 attempts
• Background check findings will be reviewed, but candidates with open cases will not be accepted
• Candidates with license hits will not be accepted
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless otherwise approved
• Pre-start and annual training modules required, averaging 6-15 hours depending on specialty
