Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit of a hospital that also includes EP Lab and CV Observation services
• Perform and support caths, angioplasty, interventions, ablations, devices, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Care for patients undergoing pre/post-op observation with a focus on whole-person healing
• 1st shift schedule with 4x10-hour days per week
• Call requirements apply

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Approximately 2 years of experience in a busy Cath Lab preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the care team
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, and care coordination
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Promote a positive, healing environment through collaborative teamwork
