Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU/Telemetry position requiring cardiac cath experience and flexibility to work all shift types.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical Telemetry/PCU unit of a Level 1 Trauma tertiary care regional referral hospital
• Cardiac geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including CP, MI, Open Heart, Watchman, TAVR, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer
• RN to patient ratio of 1:5; NA ratio of 10-12 (days) and 20-22 (nights)
• Uses Pacer and Alines equipment
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• 13-week assignment with a 12-hour shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Must be willing and able to work all shift types including days, nights, and mids
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend depending on unit staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Not normally floated, but may float to 1:1 assignments depending on unit needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) and PA license required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
• 2+ years of cardiac/telemetry experience preferred
• Cardiac cath experience required
• Drug screening within the last 90 days will be accepted
• MMR declinations are not accepted
• All PA clearances required, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, DHS/FBI Department of Aging Fingerprinting (within last 2 years), and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac telemetry and PCU-level nursing care to a geriatric cardiac patient population
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed full time elsewhere while on assignment
• Scrub color is unrestricted, but hoodies are not permitted and only nose stud piercings are allowed
• Candidates with no requested RTO will be considered for auto-offer
