Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Cardiology RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of recent Med/Surg or Cardiology experience and a compact or AL RN license.

Details

• Work in the 2 West Med/Surg Cardiology unit of a 30-bed hospital department
• Care for pre and post-heart cath patients, general Med/Surg patients, and cardiology patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, and related conditions
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses standard acute care equipment
• Utilizes Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• First to float among staff

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) for Alabama currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA only accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Med/Surg experience required, Cardiology experience preferred
• Acute care skills preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to a mix of cardiology and general Med/Surg patients, including pre and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Navy scrub color required
• Candidates should be flexible, dependable, and open to feedback while maintaining a friendly demeanor with staff and patients
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
