Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring active TX RN license and advanced fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital's Women's Pavilion
- Unit includes 16 LDRs, 5 Triage/OBED beds, and 7 Antepartum beds
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Performs vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
- Uses fetal monitoring equipment
- Charting in Meditech / CPN, with Meditech experience preferred
- 13-week assignment with a 7A-7:30P shift schedule
- Weekend and call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Floating required as needed per facility policy
- Unit clerk and ORT support available 24/7
Requirements
- Active TX RN license required (temporary license not accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN or NCCEFM) required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring and delivering patients in a Women's Pavilion setting
- Facility offers full-service women's health care including newborn services
- Must adhere to facility dress code: navy scrub top and pant with navy or white scrub jacket
- Nails must be clean and healthy; hair neat with no extreme styles or colors; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited; body art should be covered when feasible
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Local candidates will not be considered
