Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring active TX or compact RN licensure and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital's Women's Pavilion
• Unit includes 16 LDRs, 5 triage (OBED) beds, and 7 antepartum beds
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Performs vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
• Uses fetal monitoring equipment
• Documentation primarily in Meditech / CPN, with Meditech experience preferred
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating required as needed per facility policy
• Unit staffed with 24/7 unit clerk and OR technician support

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition)
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN or NCCEFM) required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring and supporting vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
• Must comply with facility floating policy and acknowledgement form requirements
• Scrub color requirement: navy scrub top and pants, with navy or white scrub jacket
• Dress code includes clean, neat hair and coverage of visible body art and piercings where feasible
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel role
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
