Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) with 1+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level 3 Trauma hospital.

• 154-bed hospital serving Northeast TX and Southeast OK
• Respiratory Therapy department
• Serves all patient ages
• Night shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Every other weekend work required
• On-call as needed
• Floating as needed
• Uses Servo I and Carescape ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, and standard nebulizers
• Meditech EMR

Requirements

• RRT or CRT certification
• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Certification/licensure required to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Texas
• Skills in ventilator management, blood gas analysis, arterial line draws, EKGs, and trach patient care
• Experience with weaning trials and oxygen therapy

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across ICU and general units, including ventilator management and basic respiratory treatments
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center and Level 1 NICU
• Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI capability
• Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center
• Recognized in the top 5% nationally for orthopedic outcomes
• Ceil Blue scrub color required; casual wear not acceptable
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
