Description

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for an acute care setting, with 1-2 years of experience preferred and current MA licensure required.

Details

• Acute care inpatient setting
• Position assigned to a primary team/service area
• 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Current, active Massachusetts OT license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• License required if applicable
• 1-2 years of experience preferred following completion of internship or apprenticeship program
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills

Additional Information

• Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adjusting as needed
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and home exercises
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside more than 60 miles from Boston, MA to qualify for standard travel rate
