Description
American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for an acute care setting, with 1-2 years of experience preferred and current MA licensure required.
Details
- Acute care inpatient setting
- Position assigned to a primary team/service area
- 8-hour day shift schedule, Monday through Friday
- Occasional weekend coverage may be required
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- Current, active Massachusetts OT license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
- License required if applicable
- 1-2 years of experience preferred following completion of internship or apprenticeship program
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills
Additional Information
- Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, adjusting as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities and home exercises
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to stay current with best practices
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates must reside more than 60 miles from Boston, MA to qualify for standard travel rate
