Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU position requiring at least one year of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiothoracic ICU of a hospital setting as part of an interdisciplinary cardiac and vascular care program
• Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:00pm
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required
• BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide competent clinical nursing care to complex cardiothoracic ICU patients following the nursing process
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and support discharge planning
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and professional growth opportunities
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director
