Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring EPIC experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Surgery/Operating Room unit of an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Call required 5 times within a 6-week period, including weekends
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an approved vendor required
• Minimum three years of recent experience in the OR specialty, within the last three months
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Skills checklist specific to OR specialty completed within the past year required for consideration
• Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned surgical patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing, and humane care
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, families, and treatment team members
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required vaccinations must be up to date as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
