Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring EPIC experience and a CA RN license.
Details
- Work in the Surgery/Operating Room unit of an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Call required 5 times within a 6-week period, including weekends
- EPIC EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification from an approved vendor required
- Minimum three years of recent experience in the OR specialty, within the last three months
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Skills checklist specific to OR specialty completed within the past year required for consideration
- Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned surgical patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing, and humane care
- Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Provide learning opportunities and health information to patients, families, and treatment team members
- Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
- Required vaccinations must be up to date as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius restriction
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
- Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
