Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care setting requiring a valid Florida PT license and acute care experience.
Details
- Inpatient Physical Therapy unit within a 253-bed acute care hospital, including a 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit
- Works across all floors (1-4) of the main hospital building
- Team of about 20 PT caregivers, with PT, OT, and SLP staff on day shift
- Typical caseload of 9-10 patients per day at a 75% productivity standard
- Uses mobility equipment for patient treatment
- Charts in Meditech EMR
- Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Valid Florida PT license required, if applicable
- MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university required
- Acute care experience required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- ICU experience preferred
- Strong collaborative, outgoing, and communication skills preferred
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include performing PT evaluations and treatments
- Navy blue, Caribbean blue, black, khaki, grey, or ciel blue scrub colors may apply depending on department
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
